Meet the Owner / Armando Hernandez
PRESIDENT/OWNER AT PACIFIC CONCRETE COATINGS INC.
Armando started in Los Angeles in 1995 as a crew helper installing SUNDEK concrete coatings. After two years, Armando was promoted to Crew Leader/Foreman. In 1997, Armando was presented with an opportunity to grow his career under the leadership of Dick Krach, the Sundek of Washington owner. He continued his work as a crew leader where he was awarded “Crew Leader of the Year” for quality installations nationwide in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. After 6 years, he was promoted to Production Manager. Sundek of Washington continues to receive numerous “Outstanding” awards for best applications at our annual conventions. In 2006, Armando expanded his career into a sales capacity. Armando and his team have received several industry recognition awards.
Armando continued to grow his career achieving the Vice-President role within the dealership in 2010. It was at that time that Armando began helping Tony Hernandez, former Director of Product Training, with product training to new and existing dealers, as well traveling overseas to open new markets internationally and play a key role on initial installation projects. After Dick Krach’s retirement, Armando was promoted again achieving the role of President of the Sundek of Washington dealership in 2011. He served in that role from 2011 – 2014.
In his most recent role, he served as our National Director of Product Training in Arlington, TX where he oversaw all product training efforts for our dealer network since 2014. In this role, his primary focus was on training and development of Sundekers in both product and system installation processes. Armando played a big part in the development of core content found in Sundek Academy which will ensure his teachings will continue to be viewed by new Sundekers for years to come. He also assisted dealerships with resolving/troubleshooting installation questions from our dealer network. While in this role, he also collaborated with our Sundek National Account (SNA) team on several key project installations including a large project in Southern California where he worked closely with Bert’s Metcalf Decorative Concrete Surfaces Inc.organization.
Armando is a key asset within the Sundek eco-system. We are thankful for Armando’s contributions at the national level and fully support his decision to pursue this exciting opportunity in Southern California’s future growth.
